Pomodoro Technique
The Pomodoro Technique was developed by Francesco Cirillo in the 1980s. It is one of the most popular time management methods for students and professionals.
How It Works
- Choose a task to work on
- Set the timer for 25 minutes (one Pomodoro)
- Work on the task until the timer rings
- Take a 5-minute break
- After 4 Pomodoros, take a longer 15-30 minute break
Tips
- Remove distractions during focus time — put your phone away
- If you finish early, use the remaining time to review
- Adjust interval lengths to match your attention span
- Track completed Pomodoros to measure your productivity
